ISurCell™ ULA Surfaces
Ultra-Low Attachment Cell Cultureware for Spheroid Production
ISurCell cultureware are ultra-low attachment (ULA) plates that promote spheroid formation. They are available in different formats— 6-well, 12-well, 24-well, 96-well and cell culture flasks. The ISurCell ULA plates are coated with our proprietary ultra-low attachment coating on standard polystyrene. ISurCell ULA coatings can be adapted for other cell culture surfaces upon request.
Applications: ISurCell ULA plates can be used for a wide variety of applications such as creating tissue models for drug discovery and development, suspension cultures, and organoid technology.

ISurCell ULA Cultureware
As it prevents biomolecule adsorption, ISurCell prevents cell adherence, promoting spheroid formation
ISurCell kits consists of coated cell cultureware available in different formats. Upon seeding with cells, ISurCell ULA plates spontaneously promote spheroid formation and suspension culture. ISurCell can be applied to other cell cultureware formats upon request.

ISurCell ULA plates can be used for differentiating cells and tissues. We have successfully differentiated iPSC- derived human neural progenitor cells to cortical spheroids on our plates using neural differentiation media and growth factors. These spheroids express FOXG1, a cortical/telencephalic marker. Spheroids are viable for more than 2 months with no cytotoxicity, and they show neurite extension.

Cells seeded at high density on competitor plate and on ISurCell.
Neural progenitor cells at 4x total magnification seeded at a density of 100,000 cells/well. ISurCell ULA plates reduce cell satellite clusters and multiple spheroid formation.
Spheroids are not attached to the plates and can be easily transferred to other wells even after 2 months of culturing.
