Passivate your immunoassay surfaces against non-specific adsorption with ISurBlock solutions. ISurBlock improves Signal/Noise while increasing reproducibility compared to BSA.

ISurBlock solutions can take the place of BSA (bovine serum albumin) or cows’ milk to block interfering non-specific adsorption of irrelevant proteins in immunoassays, as the ELISA graph below depicts. It is a fully synthetic, non-animal sourced product, free of attendant shortcomings such as biohazard, high cost, refrigeration requirements, and lot-to-lot variability.

ISurBlock biotinylated coatings allow rapid, strong bonding of streptavidin-modified immunoassay agents to surfaces, while retaining their qualities of passivation against unwanted adsorption. Simply apply ISurBlock-biotin in aqueous solution, wait 15 minutes, and the coating will remain adherent after rinsing, blocking any non-biotinylated molecules to follow. Your ISurBlock-biotin surface is now ready to bind biotinylated molecules and only biotinylated molecules.
