ISurTec®(Innovative Surface Technologies, INC.) at UEL wins eleven SBIR/STTR awards

Within its first three years of operation,
ISurTec® has received eleven (11) new SBIR/STTR Phase I grant awards from the NSF and NIH and transferred one Phase II previously awarded to the research team at SurModics, Inc. The Phase I awards include the following:
- "Microsphere coatings for Immunoassays" NIH
- "Biomolecule Immobilization Chemistry for Nanomagnetic/Spintronic Biosensor Array" NSF
- "Multi-Drug Delivery Microparticle Coatings for Orthopedic Devices" NIH
- "Photoreactive Nanofibers for Biomolecule Immobilization" NIH
- "Multianalyte Nanomagnetic Biosensor Array for Pathogen Detection" NIH
- "Superhydrophobic Corrosion-Resistant Coatings" NSF
- "Mobile Peripheral Device for Biological Analysis" DHS
- "Diblock Copolymers for siRNA Delivery" NIH
- "Microsphere Coatings for Protein Arrays" NIH
- "A Novel Combination of Thermoresponsive and Nanofibrillar Surface for Cell Culture" NIH
- "Chlorhexidine-releasing Superhydrophobic Coating" NSF
ISurTec® leases three newly furbished laboratories at the University Enterprise Laboratories (UEL) for a staff of fourteen (14), developing new proprietary surface-modification reagents and use-testing them for diagnostic, drug delivery, device-coating, and biomaterial/ biotechnology markets. |
